Leadership Work

Feedback from Headteachers

"This service has been excellent, it has made a real positive difference to the skills of my staff and the way in which they communicate has strengthened, thank you. Ultimately the impact on relationships between adults, whether they are staff or parents, always has an impact on the outcomes for the children. Thank you for adding to the positive experiences for our pupils." Heather Madsen (Headteacher, Red Oak Primary)

"X has gained confidence and competence in her leadership role, setting a clear vision for her team, articulating this clearly when there are challenges; as a result the team appear focused and are performing well" Sally Garrett (Headteacher, the Ashley School Academy Trust)

A sample of feedback from coachees

"Never had an opportunity like this in my career before"

"Great support, very proactive – we got everything done that we set out to do"

"Helped me establish a clear vision and ensure that staff are on board with the vision"

"This has been an incredibly motivating and useful set of sessions. It has changed my mindset in all areas. It has really helped me to stop feeling overwhelmed by my workload. It means I can see a way forward and I can move forward towards my vision"

"Recognising why I do things the way I do, and possible changes I can make without being disloyal to who I am"

"Coaching helped me to prioritise my thoughts and the things that needed to be done, in order to make our Early Years setting more successful"

"Recognising my strengths and how and why things make me ‘tick’ was very helpful to me. Seeing these as important to the role I do in school, and how I am affected at home, does really impact on me, so, to discuss these things in confidence, has been extremely helpful"

"This has given me a completely different outlook; I am happier and not feeling overwhelmed"

"I feel that I have benefited a great deal from the sessions. Maintaining a good work life balance is difficult for all teachers and this has been acutely so for me recently. I am aware of how to do this, but this has enabled me to see a clear path of what I want to achieve and enables me to be fulfilled"

"Ivor always listens extremely carefully to what you are saying and responds sensitively. He is extremely knowledgeable with leadership strategies and communicates these clearly"

Educational work and Pupil Assessments

What worked well?

• Comprehensive initial assessment and discussions with staff.

• Friendly and open manner which supported and reassured the children.

• Findings were shared in a timely way involving a range of staff to ensure that no areas were missed.

• Your understanding of the needs of Pakefield and how we work – this eliminated wasted time.

Impact of the work?

• Teachers have used this information to develop misconceptions and gaps in knowledge.

• Children achieving their best and making very good progress – one Year 6 child even achieved Greater Depth in Maths due to your assessments.
